Where to watch the 2025 Golden Globe Nominees

Our family has just ended our annual marathon of Twilight and Harry Potter movies over the holiday, and the Golden Globes feel early this year. (Are they?) Nevertheless, we’re way behind on watching the nominees. My husband taught a film class at our homeschool co-op last year, so he was more on top of it then. Tonight, we’ll do our best to watch 2-3 before the awards tomorrow. So I thought I’d do some research on the movies nominated and where to watch the 2025 Golden Globe Nominees.

Best Motion Picture: Drama

A Complete Unknown—the Bob Dylan biopic starring Timothee Chalamet isn’t available yet, but is expected to come to Hulu eventually
Conclave—the thriller about selecting a new pope is included with Peacock subscriptions, or can be purchased on Apple and Amazon
Dune: Part Two—the sci-fi sequel with, again, Timothee Chalamet is on Netflix, Max, or Hulu, or to rent on Amazon
Nickel Boys—Colson Whitehead’s novel adaptation isn’t streaming yet but is eventually expected on Amazon
September 5—the historical film about the Munich Olympics isn’t streaming yet
The Brutalist—the biopic about architect Lázló Toth isn’t streaming yet but will eventually come to Max

Best Motion Picture: Musical or Comedy

A Real Pain—the story of two Jewish brothers visiting family in Europe can be purchased on Apple TV or Amazon Prime
Anora—a young woman from Brooklyn gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she marries the son of a Russian oligarch, streaming for purchase on Apple TV, Amazon, YouTube, and Fandango
Challengers—the tennis, love-triangle movie with Zendaya is included on MGM+, Amazon Prime, and YouTube premium subscriptions, or you can rent on Apple TV
Emilia Pérez—you can watch this “fever dream” of original song and dance on Netflix
The Substance—not sure why this horror/sci-fi movie about enhanced performance is in the comedy section, but you can watch it on Amazon Prime or rent on Apple TV
Wicked—the incredible adaptation of the Broadway musical can be rented on Amazon, Google Play, Fandango at Home, or YouTube

Best Motion Picture: Animated

Flow—the beautiful Latvian film about a cat who needs to relocate to a new home isn’t streaming yet, sadly
Inside Out 2—Pixar’s return to the inside of Riley’s teenage mind can be streamed on Disney + or purchased on Apple TV or Amazon
Memoir of a Snail—the story of a snail-collecting misfit is able to be purchased on Apple TV, Amazon Prime, You Tube, Fandango at Home, and Google Play
Moana 2—the follow up to one of our favorite Disney movies isn’t streaming yet but is expected in late January
The Wild Robot—the story story of a shipwrecked robot can be rented on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and others.
Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl—the newest from this cult-classic series is on Netflix

All We Imagine as Light—the film from India about tender friendship doesn’t appear to be streaming yet, but is listed on Disney+ Hotstar
Emilia Pérez—you can watch this “fever dream” of original song and dance on Netflix
I’m Still Here—the Brazilian film about the brink of dictatorship is coming soon to Apple TV
The Girl with the Needle—the haunting period crime piece from Denmark isn’t available for streaming yet
