Ink is in my veins. At least, that’s what a publisher I once worked for told me. I think my system is running on at least 50% coffee, but he has a point. I love books.

I’ve been working in the publishing industry for close to thirty years. I have the stats to back up a successful career: an ECPA Gold Medallion award, more than 1,100,000 copies of my writing/ghostwriting projects sold, and thirteen New York Times bestselling authors on my editing CV.

I’ve worked in nearly every part of the publishing process, from proofreading dictionaries (oof) to writing YA books to managing projects and brands. I’ve indexed books, reviewed proposals, and written cover copy. I’ve edited Amish romance, NASCAR biography, and everything in between. And I’ve loved every incandescent metaphor and dangling modifier of it all.
